What are you getting?
A line edit, also called a stylistic edit, provides all services of a copy edit below as well as a line-by-line review of language, syntax, and word choice. The line edit will tighten up sentence structure, remove repetitive phrases, and ensure your language is sharp and matches the emotions you wish to evoke. It will check the overall flow and pacing of your story.
What can you expect?
This edit is done in two stages.
A first pass will be delivered to you with line edits, recommendations, and comments. This contains the bulk of the revisions you will see. You will be asked to go through these fully and send back a clean copy.
A second pass will be done to clean up all changes and provide a full copy edit for a clean, publishable manuscript.
Edits will be completed using Microsoft Word, Track Changes.
Who should get this service?
For authors who need feedback on tone, style, story pacing and character/worldbuilding. Note: This does not replace developmental edits.
Rate $.010 per word
($100 for every 10,000 words)
What are you getting?
A copy edit revises mechanical errors such as spelling, punctuation, word omissions, and capitalization. It inquires about redundant passages, factual inconsistencies, and possible revisions to wordy or confusing passages. Your original voice remains intact.
What can you expect?
A minimum of two passes of your manuscript. The revisions will be sent back to you with the option of a third 'spot check' pass for any lengthy or complex revisions.
Edits will be completed using Microsoft Word, Track Changes.
Who should get this service?
For authors who have already received significant feedback from a developmental editor and/or alpha and beta readers who have provided feedback on tone, style, and character/worldbuilding. Authors who have a strong base and have received or do not need a significant look at style.
Rate $.0075 per word
($75 for every 10,000 words)

A final read through before publication to clear up any spelling, punctuation and grammar errors.

Who should get this service?
For authors who are ready to publish and have already gone through developmental and copy editing. This service is best for those who have formatting complete with headers, chapter titles/numbers, page numbers, and a table of contents.
Rate $.005 per word
$50 for every 10,000 words)
Sample edits of approximately 1000 words are offered
free of charge to new clients or existing clients with drastic genre or voice change.
